Audi estate and VW Golf stolen as police investigate FIVE town burglaries

Police in Penzance are asking for the public’s help solving five burglaries that occurred over the space of a few days which among them saw two cars, electronic devices and charity boxes stolen.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a burglary and theft of a vehicle from a property on St Michael’s Street in the town.

The incident happened between 10pm on Sunday, July 8, and 6.30am on Monday, July 9.

The offender or offenders gained entry into the home via a window. The owner’s car keys were stolen from the house and the car was then taken.

The blue Audi A4 estate with registration BL54WVF is still missing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via [email protected] or by calling 101 and quoting CR/061264/18.

The second appeal for information is in connection with a report of burglary to a guest house in Regent Terrace, Penzance.

Entry was gained via an insecure window and charity boxes were stolen.

This took place sometime between 9pm on Tuesday, July 10, and 7am on Wednesday, July 11.

Officers are asking people to be wary of this and secure doors and windows at all times.

If you have any information, CCTV in the area mentioned, or any discarded items, phone 101, quoting crime CR/061779/18.

Personal belongings were stolen from the property at Millfield in Gulval including a Bush tablet, a Galaxy mobile phone and Amazon Fire tablet overnight on Tuesday July 10.

If you have any information please contact police quoting log number 0182 of 110718.

Another break-in occurred at a property on Freshbrook Close, Penzance. This was committed sometime between midnight on Tuesday July 10 and 5.30am on Wednesday July 11.

Items stolen from the property include a HP green in colour laptop and keys to the occupant’s vehicle, a VW Golf, registration HK53YRD. The vehicle was stolen from the address but later recovered nearby.

Yet another burglary took place in Redinnick Place, Penzance. Entry was gained via an insecure window and personal belongings were stolen. This was committed sometime between 9pm on Tuesday July 10 and 9am on Wednesday July 11.
